OVERVIEW: Guests will be met by their professional guide and open safari vehicle at a designated collection point.

(If guests would like to be collected directly from their accommodation, they are requested to discuss this option with the Matumi Team prior to the safari)

The vehicle will then depart for the Kruger National Park and the adventure begins! This is a full day excursion (The Kruger Park Full Day Safari will have an estimated duration of 10.5 to 11 hours) and so there will be multiple stops throughout the day for refreshments and for guests to have a break from sitting in the vehicle. Being in an open safari vehicle gives guest the opportunity to view many animals, including the Big 5, up close. Guests will be taken to a main rest camp at lunchtime where they have access to all the camp facilities and can purchase food and beverages. Once the safari has concluded, guests will be taken back to the original designated collection point.

The area which is generally explored during this safari is focused around the game rich section of the Kruger Park between Orpen, Satara, Olifants and Phalaborwa. This particular section of the park is well known for its diverse landscapes and the myriad of creatures which call it home. It is an area which is also famous for large predator sightings within the National Park.

Guests can expect to spend a full day in the Kruger Park, exploring giant open plains, dense wooded thickets, stunning perennial and seasonal water courses, taking in the very best that Southern Africa has to offer.
