DAY 1: The Kruger Park 3-night safari departs from the bushveld town of Hoedspruit. Guests will meet at a designated point in town where they will be greeted by their qualified and experienced Matumi Destinations guide. After all luggage is loaded and guests are comfortably seated, the Open Safari Vehicle will depart for the Kruger National Park.
After entering through the park gates, the game viewing begins! After an exciting drive through some incredible areas of the park, guests will arrive at their designated Rest Camp. Guests can then enjoy the surrounds of the camp and choose to have lunch at one of the various options which the rest camp offers (fully stocked shop or licensed restaurant). Check-In takes place at 14H00, after which guests can get settled into their accommodation. A short afternoon game drive will round off a superb start to the safari and guests will then head back to the rest camp for the evening.
DAY 2: An early start to the morning is in order as the Open Safari Vehicle will head out when the rest camp gates open. Yet another exciting day in the Kruger awaits and guests can expect to be out in the wilderness for most of the day. Along the way, guests will stop at designated areas to stretch their legs and have some snacks. A lunch stop is planned during the day, where guests can purchase delicious meals from either one of the main Rest Camps or Picnic Sites. As the sun begins to get low in the magnificent African sky, the vehicle will make its way back to the designated Rest Camp for the evening. This evening will see our guests dine together with their guide, where a traditional South African meal will be served.
DAY 3: Another early morning game drive for the final full day in the Kruger National Park. Another incredible full day safari is planned, and guests can expect all the usual comfort and excitement that comes with a Matumi Destinations safari. Today the Open Safari Vehicle will stop over at lunch time at the magnificent Olifants Rest Camp. This rest camp has arguably the best view of any of the rest camps in Kruger National Park. Guests can again choose to sit at the restaurant to have a meal or choose to get a takeaway from either the restaurant or the fully stocked shop. After a stunning stop over for lunch, guests will continue to the afternoon segment of the safari. Guests will make their way back to their designated Rest Camp for one final evening’s stay.
DAY 4: On the final morning, guests will check out and take a leisurely game drive back towards the park gates where they will exit the National Park and be taken directly to Hoedspruit. Here guests will say farewell to their Matumi Destinations guide.
